There are a lot of products to choose from when it comes to sunscreen but not all are healthy options. Alba Botanica's products are healthy options that are also affordable and eco-friendly. Plus, they leave out harmful chemicals. Since our skin absorbs what we put on it (think of hormone or nicotine patches), why not choose products that are healthy for us and not harmful.
Alba Botanica™ has just released 2 new sunscreen products to their lineup; Alba Botanica™ Very Emollient Sport Continuous Spray Sunscreen 50+, and Alba Botanica™ Very Emollient Kids Continuous Spray Sunscreen SPF 50+.
These new continuous spray sunscreens give maximum broad spectrum UVA & UVB protection at SPF 50+. They are air powered with no chemical propellants. These 100% vegetarian formulas are water resistant, emollient, moisturizing, and eco-friendly. They are formulated to be hydrating and contain botanicals like green tea, aloe leaf, algae, vitamin E, and grapefruit water. Yum! These products are also hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested!
In honour of these new product releases, Alba Botanica™ and I are teaming up to give one lucky reader these brand new products plus their Facial Sunscreen Lotion SPF 40 because we know you also need to protect your face.
Alba Botanica™ Kids SPF 50+ Ultra |
Alba Botanica™ Very Emollient Fragrance Free Continuous Spray Sunscreen for Kids SPF 50+ 177ml / $16.99
This product was created with kids in mind. It's fragrance free, hypoallergenic, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and water resistant (80 minutes).
I love the super fine mist that makes it really easy to get all over coverage. This product absorbs immediately and is non-greasy.
Alba Botanica™ Sport SPF 50+ Ultra |
Alba Botanica™ Very Emollient Fragrance Free Continuous Spray Sunscreen for Sports SPF 50+ 177ml / $16.99
This Sports formula is great for anyone, including sports enthusiasts. It also has broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and the water/sweat resistant (80 minutes) formula is fragrance free, and hypoallergenic.
This also has a super fine mist which makes it easy to get full body coverage and get into every nook and cranny. This product absorbs right away and is non-greasy.
Alba Botanica™ Facial SPF 40 |
Alba Botanica™ Very Emollient Fragrance Free Facial Sunscreen Lotion SPF 40 113ml / $9.99
For me, it's important to have an SPF that is formulated just for the face as I'm acne prone and most sunscreens will cause me to breakout unless they are formulated especially for the face. This product is fragrance free, fast absorbing, and wont clog pores. It also contains aloe vera, ginseng, lavender and calendula. All of these botanicals work to hydrate and nourish the skin. I haven't had any irritation, redness or breakouts while using this product.
Alba Botanica™ has been making natural, 100% vegetarian, and cruelty-free products since 1979. They do not use animal products or by-products and are an eco-friendly brand that cares about us and our planet.
They also formulate all of their products without: parabens, phthalates, artificial colours, propylene glycol, aluminium, mineral oil, petrolatum, oxybenzone, PABA, nano-particles, DEA, MEA or TEA, PEGs and PEG derivatives, ethoxylated ingredients associated with 1,4 dioxane, formaldehyde donors, synthetic fragrances, and GMOs.
I'm loving these products and I think you will too!
Alba Botanica™ Sunscreens are available at Whole Foods, Loblaws, Safeway, Sobeys West, Well.ca, and Amazon.ca.
