How To Find The Best And Safest Vitamins & Supplements

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately but I've been under the weather.

While I've been down and out, I've been looking for some new supplements to take for my health. As I'm sure you all know, there are so many supplements to choose from and it can become quite confusing and even overwhelming. You want the best but don't always want to spend an arm and a leg. Plus, there's always those questions about quality and whether or not the supplements you choose actually have the quantities and values claimed.

I came across a great resource that I want to share with you today: https://labdoor.com/ provides 3rd party testing on all kinds of vitamins and supplements. Whether you want to look up fish oils or multi vitamins etc. You can click on the supplement category that you want to research and then refine your search even more if you choose to. Then you can see the list of supplements based on ranking. Products are rated on label accuracy, product purity, nutritional value, ingredient safety, and projected efficacy. And, lastly, there is a "see full report" link at the bottom of the page for each product.

I was really surprised at a lot of the rankings. Some of the cheaper products were rated higher than some of the most expensive ones!

Click on https://labdoor.com/rankings to see the categories. The screenshot above is an example of what you will find.

Currently, Labdoor has tested 32 supplement categories. At the top of the "rankings" page, there is a tab if you want to see upcoming categories.

Here is an example if you search multi vitamins. You can select to view the rankings by quality or value. I was focused on quality, results shown below.

Detailed Report:

Shown above and below are examples of what a report looks like once you select a specific product. I actually ended up ordering this one from Now Foods.

In addition to this site, I also find that iHerb.com is a great resource. Not only is the main place where I purchase my supplements because they have the best prices and super-cheap shipping, but they also have very helpful reviews on the products they carry. Plus, they have links on their site so you can search by "condition" to find recommended supplements as well as a drug/supplement interaction checker.

I hope you find these resources as helpful as I have!

Have a great week, everyone!
